June means the beginning of summer, and the beginning of the Summer Programs at the Pottsville Library. We have clubs and activities for the very young to teenagers, and it all kicks off the week of June 15th. With such a wide variety of activities available, there is little reason for anyone to be bored! Email potchild @ pottsvillelibrary.org, or call 570-622-8880 ext. 12 for more information or to register for any of these programs. Siblings and families are welcome at all of these programs and events.
Story times for the youngest children, ages 1-5, begin on June 15th at 10:30 AM and will take place every Monday morning. These programs give young children a chance to learn about reading, sing songs, and make simple crafts.
Kids Summer Reading Club for ages 6-12 will meet on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM beginning on June 17th. Activities and crafts will be based on the “Unearth a Story” theme.
The Teen Summer Reading Crew will meet on Thursdays at 10:30 AM starting on June 18th, with more age-appropriate activities and crafts on the same theme.
Families are encouraged to take advantage of the special programs happening every week, beginning on Saturday, June 6th with Cave Day and wrapping up on Saturday, August 15th with Honeybee Day. Check out the complete list below, or pick up a copy of the flyer at the Pottsville Library Circulation Desk. We hope to see you soon at the Pottsville Library!
