Youth Programs
The Youth Services Department offers both regular weekly programs and occasional events for kids of all ages. All programs require advance registration by calling the department at 570-622-8880 ext. 12, by email at potpublib@pottsvillelibrary.org, or by filling out the registration form at the bottom of this page. Most programs are free and all are welcome!
Weekly Programs
Story Time
Where: At the library
Age: Ages 12 months – 5 years
Dates: Jun. 12 – Jul. 31
Time: 10:30AM – 11:00AM
Mondays from 10:30am-11:00am. Recommended for ages 12 months-five years. Join us at the Library for stories and songs.
Summer Reading Fun
Where: At the library
Age: 5 – 18 years
Dates: Jun. 12 – Aug. 4
Read, complete Quests, and earn prizes.
Teen Gaming
Where: At the library
Age: 12 – 18 years
Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Time: 5:00PM – 7:00PM
Come and play Dungeons and Dragons and other games. No experience is necessary.
Creation Station
Where: At the library
Age: 1 – 12 years
Dates: Mondays – Friday
Time: all day
The “Creation” changes every week! Art supplies will be provided to participants.
Summer Meals @ The Library
Where: At the library
Age: 1 – 18 years
Dates: Jun. 12 – Aug. 4
Time: 9 – 10 AM, 12 PM – 1 PM
Summer Breakfast and Summer Lunch are provided by the Pottsville Area School District and distributed by the Pottsville Library. Games, Legos, STEM Kits, and craft supplies are available for use during and after the meals. Registration is required to ensure enough meals are available for all the children who need them.
