Extra, extra, read all about it!

Local newspapers still are an important source of what you need to know today. Patrons of the Pottsville Free Public Library have access to a great resource that helps you find news articles from local newspapers all over the country: Newsbank. Visit their “Current Events” section for a new collection each month. In January you will find stories collected on world economics, overseas conflicts, education in the United States, and science stories like EV charging stations or the earthquakes in Japan, for example. When prompted just type in your Pottsville Library card number.

You also have access to back issues of the Pottsville Republican Herald newspaper, from 2005 to the present. Reading, Allentown, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia newspapers are also part of the “America’s News” collection.

Check them out, and read all about whatever topic interests you!
