5th Annual Putting Fore the Pottsville Library, Sponsored by PA Skill Charitable Giving

What are you doing February 23rd and 24th? Join us at the Pottsville Library for indoor mini golf! Yep, we set up 18 holes of mini golf on the first and second floors of the Library. One hole even goes down the steps! And we are amping up our game in more ways than one: the water hole with real fish and the sand traps were huge hits last year, and we have some ideas for this year’s set-up that should keep you on your toes (or on the floor, laughing). Both days will feature age-appropriate food and beverages in the ticket price.

Friday night from 6-9 PM is for adults only (must be at least 21 years old to attend), and the competition will be on for who can shoot the lowest golf score. There will also be a cornhole competition on the second floor. Both winners get their names on the plaques for bragging rights! Tickets are $35 each and you will want to buy them in advance because this has become a really popular event. Purchase them at the Circulation Desk, or online via the Facebook event page at https://www.facebook.com/events/1445511696025591.

Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM is all about family fun. Tickets are $5 for most people, $3 for kids under 6 years, and the tickets can be purchased at the door. Have a youth group or watching the grandkids? This is the perfect indoor activity for the young and the young at heart on a cold winter day.

And as this is one of our big fundraisers for the year, we’ll also have baskets to raffle off. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Big, big thanks go out to our title sponsor this year, PA Skill Charitable Giving.

Want to support the fun? Businesses and organizations can become hole sponsors by contacting the Executive Library Director at 570-622-8880 x20. Or donate a basket or items for a basket for the raffle. Every little bit helps us to provide the services you have come to expect from your local public library.

See you on the mini golf course!
