Youth Programs
The Youth Services Department offers both regular weekly programs and occasional events for kids of all ages. All programs require advance registration by calling the department at 570-622-8880 ext. 12, by email at potchild@pottsvillelibrary.org, or by filling out the registration form at the bottom of this page. Most programs are free and all are welcome!
Weekly Programs

Story Time
Where: At the library
Age: Ages 12 months – 5 years
Dates: June 15 – Aug. 3
Time: Mon. 10:30AM – 11:30AM
Come for songs, a story, crafts and play. Older and younger siblings are always welcome.

Summer Family Nights
Where: At the library
Age: All ages
Dates: June 16 – Aug. 4
Time: Tues. 5:30PM
Come and join for Tuesdays during the summer for fun and learning with many guest presenters including live animal shows.

Adventure Book Club
Where: At the library
Age: 5 – 15 years
Dates: June 18 – Aug. 6
Time: Thurs. 3:30PM
Read interactive fiction with your peers and make the choices together. Keep the habit of reading during the summer while hanging out.

Summer Reading Club
Where: At the library
Age: 6 – 18 years
Dates: June 17 – Aug. 6
Time: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30AM
Various activities for kids 6-12 on Wednesdays and teens 12-17 on Thursdays.

Teen Book Club & Teen Advisory Board
Where: At the library
Age: 12 – 18 years
Dates: Third Thursday of every month 6/18, 7/16 and 8/20
Time: Book Club 4:30PM; Teen Advisory Board 5:30PM
Explore recreational reading with your peers as well as having a say in what the youth services department acquires for books, video games and DVDs as well as what we offer for programs.
