Summer Reading Fun Starts Monday, June 12th!

The 2023 Summer Reading Fun kicks off on Monday, June 12th with story time at 10:30 AM, aimed at children ages 12 months to 5 years. But story times are just a part of what’s planned! You can see the full list below, or bookmark the Upcoming Events page on this website. Tuesday evenings are Family Night Programs, when the entire family is invited to join in the fun: meet wildlife from Red Creek Wildlife Center, watch a magic show by Magic Rich, or learn more about butterflies with Leah Zerbe. Thursdays are craft programs, in addition to the weekly themed “Creation Station”. StoryWalks let you move and read at the same time. And everyone is welcome to join us as we celebrate Juneteenth on Monday, June 19th, from 5-7 PM, with the MLK Family Enrichment Center of Schuylkill County and the NAACP of Schuylkill County! So if you hear those dreaded words from your kids this summer, “I’m bored,” you know what to do: come to the Pottsville Free Public Library!
