Join us at the Pottsville Free Public Library for the next program in the free Smithsonian Armchair Traveler series on Thursday, October 8th at 5:30 PM. “An Appalachian Journey: Skyline Drive to the Great Smokies” will explore the breathtaking adventure along the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway, including historic sites, natural wonders, and diverse habitats. With subjects from human history to wildlife to geology and ecology, there is something to interest everyone in this presentation! This is a free program, although we request registration so we can be sure to have enough seats available for everyone. This year-long initiative will bring free Smithsonian educational programming and community engagement opportunities to residents of Schuylkill County, offering culturally unique programs to enrich people’s lives.
