Did you know that, in addition to the regular storytimes during the week, the Pottsville Library has special themed storytimes one Saturday each month? These are great activities for younger children and their caregivers, giving you indoor options when the weather is too hot or wet to enjoy being outside. Join us on July 12 to celebrate National Gummy Worm day. In August we will be taking part in National Tell a Joke Day on the 16th; bring your best jokes and jests! On September 13th we will be having fun with Talk Like a Pirate Day. And the first Saturday of October, 10/4, it will be a Spooky Saturday. Saturday storytimes begin at 11 AM, are appropriate for ages 1-5 and include stories, crafts and games. Siblings and families are always welcome! To register for any of these programs please email the Youth Services Department at potchild@pottsvillelibrary.org, call 570-622-8880 ext. 12, or stop by the Library to talk to the staff. To find out what’s happening in the Youth Services Department or other events at the Library, you can visit our web calendar at www.pottsvillelibrary.org/events/ so you can plan ahead.
