Witches of the Coal-Region and Keystone State is a captivating 75-minute program that explores the dark folklore, chilling legends, and documented history of witchcraft in Pennsylvania’s coal country and beyond. From whispered curses to courtroom accusations, this program examines how fear, superstition, and belief shaped communities across the region.

Hear the haunting story of Hex Hollow, uncover the full legend of the Ringtown Witch, and revisit Pennsylvania’s most famous witch trials. The program also explores the traditions of Hexerei (Powwow folk magic), beliefs surrounding witchcraft and the evil eye, and the local events that kept these fears alive. Blending history with folklore, Witches of the Coal-Region and Keystone State reveals a spellbinding chapter of the Keystone State’s past that continues to fascinate today.
