2023 Art as Healing Exhibit – March 6-11

Next week the Pottsville Free Public Library will be hosting one of the more meaningful art exhibits of the year: the 6th Annual Art as Healing Art Show, in partnership with the Schuylkill Hope Center for Victims of Domestic Violence. This exhibit is done every year in honor of Women’s History Month

All of the art in the exhibit was created by survivors working with Schuylkill Hope Center. These artists are from throughout Schuylkill County and use art as a means of empowerment through the healing process.

The display’s main goal is to encourage survivors to express themselves artistically, as well as inspire thought in those who view the art.

A representative from Schuylkill Hope Center will be at the Pottsville Free Public Library on Wednesday, March 8th from 10 AM – 2 PM to provide information regarding services offered by the agency, discuss available volunteer opportunities with the Center, and to answer any questions anyone may have about the Art as Healing display.

For more information, contact SHC at 570-622-3991 or visit their website at schopecenter.org. If you need help you can call their hotline at 570-622-6220.
