• Peterson's Test Prep Channel -- Select "Online and Continuing Education" then select a test from "Prepare for Tests".  Online practice tests and study guides are available for a fee, but some tests may have one practice test in the "Get Going" section.
• Princeton Review -- find out more about colleges, tests and financial aid; or go to the online demo section, select a test, then click on "Free Practice Tools" for practice exams.
• Yahoo Kids Reference Library -- This site might be set up for the younger crowd (ages 7-12), but it's still a good place to check for definitions and other quick facts.  "Ask Earl" is a feature where you can ask a question, or see questions other kids have asked.

Health, Drugs and Alcohol

• CampusBlues.com -- intended to help new college students and their parents deal with the stress and strain of college.  Articles on ADHD, stress, college myths and facts, and others are all worth checking out!
• Children with Diabetes -- online community for kids, families, and adults with diabetes
• The Cool Spot -- Aimed at young teens and preteens, this interactive site looks at some of the myths and facts about alcohol, as well as how to say "no" to peer pressure.
• Drugs of Abuse -- effects, uses, etc. of illegal drugs and steroids; in particular, check out the "Commonly Used Drugs" chart
• For Teens -- this site addresses the issues most important to teens and their health 
• Freevibe -- youth anti-drug page
• Go Ask Alice! -- a Q&A Internet service with an archive of nearly 1,700 straight-forward and in-depth responses to anonymously asked questions, from Columbia University
• Kids Learn About Diabetes -- website written for and by kids, with a doctor's approval
• NCADI: Does your friend have an alcohol or other drug problem? What you can do to help: a guide for teens -- This publication from the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information can help you be a great friend 
• NIDA for Teens -- find out the facts, read real stories, and ask questions about nicotine, alcohol, and other drugs
• TeensHealth.org -- doctor-approved information on everything from shaving to body piercing to asthma to suicide
• Virtual Party -- choose a character, then make choices in each situation

• Algebra.help -- struggling with your math homework?  This site has lessons, calculators and worksheets to practice your algebra skills
• Dictionary.com -- what's the definition of...?  What's another word for...?  Look things up here!
• Encyclopedia.com -- need a few paragraphs on a subject?  Try this free encyclopedia (note that they also sell subscriptions to other services)
• High School Ace -- subject-specific help, current events, reference sources, quizzes, learning activities, and more to help you succeed
• How Products Are Made -- from candy corn to a camera lens, yogurt to bar code scanners, find out the history of every day things and how they are created
• How Stuff Works -- find out how engines work, what an internet "cookie" is, how MP3 files work, and more
• S.O.S. Mathematics -- whether you are in high school or college, studying algebra, calculus or trigonometry, this site can help you tackle difficult concepts and help you practice for your tests
• Study Stack -- flash cards and games for studying geography, math, and other subjects; use the cards to study, to test yourself, and then play hangman or do a word search

• Care for Animals -- information from the American Veterinary Medical Association on how to take care of your pets and other animals
• Petfinder.com -- find a pet to adopt, or check out the library for articles about different breeds, animal behavior and training, or caring for your pet
• Purina--a terrific site to learn the most about your cat or dog. Also provides fun pet horoscopes and more!
• BowWow Meow--a great site if you are looking for that perfect name for a pet. You can also look up the meaning and origin of any pet name among many other fun things to do on this site.
