Hooks and Books Knitting Group
Kathy
Liddle and Sandi Murton look at the knitting pattern for the helmet
liners.
The Hooks & Books Knitting Circle has undertaken a project to knit helmet liners for soldiers serving in the military. Kathy Liddle is coordinating the project to send the finished helmet liners overseas through the group Citizen Sam. The Pottsville group has joined with a group from Portland, Maine to work on the project together. If anyone is interested in helping with the project, the pattern and yarn for the liners is available through the Hooks & Books knitters.
The knitting circle will help you get started or help you brush up on your knitting skills. They meet at the Pottsville Library on the third Saturday of each month from 12:30 to 2 o’clock. The next meeting is March 20th. The group is hoping to find more projects they can become involved with to help others. If you have any thoughts or ideas for other worthwhile projects, let us know. For more information contact Sandi Murton at 622-8880 or send us an email at potpublib@pottsvillelibrary.org.
