Any Schuylkill County resident may obtain a borrower's card by visiting the library and showing identification with a current address. A parent's or legal guardian's signature is required for children under 16 years of age. Borrower's cards are valid for 3 years.
The Pottsville Free Public Library is a participating library in the Access PA Statewide Borrowing program. Your Pottsville Library card is accepted at hundreds of participating libraries throughout Pennsylvania.
Non-residents may obtain a borrower's card by either showing a valid Access PA card from another library or by paying a non-resident fee of $12.00 a year.
Any physically disabled resident who is unable to come into the library to register may register by contacting the circulation supervisor at (570) 622-8880.
Lost or stolen cards and change of name or address should be reported
immediately to the circulation desk.
